What your aircon is trying to tell you
Most faults give a warning before they become expensive. Here is what the common ones usually mean.
Not cooling or blowing warm air
Usually a dirty coil, a failed capacitor or low gas from a leak. We diagnose before touching anything.
Tripping the breaker
Often a compressor drawing too much current or a wiring fault. Do not keep resetting it, that can cook the compressor.
Leaking water indoors
Almost always a blocked drain line. Quick to fix, and cheaper than a repainted wall.
Ice on the pipes or unit
A classic sign of low gas or restricted airflow. Switch it off and call us before the compressor suffers.
Bad smell when it runs
Mould on the coil or in the drain pan. A deep clean sorts it and improves the air you breathe.
Rattling, buzzing or grinding
Anything from a loose panel to failing fan bearings. Small noises now are cheap, seized motors are not.
How a callout works
Book a slot. Call or WhatsApp. We confirm your time slot within the hour, and we phone ahead when the technician is on the way.
Diagnose and price. The technician finds the actual fault and gives you a fixed price before any work starts. The R650 callout fee covers this.
Repair on the spot. Our vans carry the common parts, so most repairs are finished on the first visit. The callout fee comes off the repair.
If a repair is not worth it, we say so, with the numbers for repair and replacement side by side.

Repair questions
The callout fee is R650, quoted when you book, and it covers the trip and full diagnosis. If you go ahead with the repair on the same visit, the fee comes off the repair price.

Most repairs, yes. Our vans carry the common parts: capacitors, fan motors, drain fittings and contactors. If a part must be ordered, we quote it and return with a booked slot.
Sometimes not, and we will say so. If an old non inverter unit needs a compressor, the repair can cost more than half a new inverter that also halves your running cost. You get the numbers for both and decide.
Saturday mornings year round, and seven days a week in season. Peak summer slots go fast, so call early in the day.
